| PORTRAITS AS A LEGACY, PORTRAITS AS A GIFT
While visiting a dear childhood friend in Oregon this past weekend, I was struck by the photos around the house. This summer she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. Spread around the home were old photos of her with long, beautiful, red hair. Making new photos of her with her head barely coated with a soft, fine layer of newly growing hair, I was once again struck by the power of photography. I looked at photos of her as a child with her family, of us growing up, of her with her children and husband. What an amazing legacy photography creates. Our life story in pictures.
Now, more than ever, photography is accessible to most. Fine art portraits of you and your family are a gift to treasure for generations. CELEBRATE THE GIFT OF LIFE with exquisite, archival prints, mounted and signed, of you, your family, your friends, a moment in time. Photographer Katy Tartakoff takes time and care in making photographs you will love while honoring you for who you are.
Snapshots are fabulous for documenting events and activities in our lives. A professional portrait made at the studio is a gift to be treasured for years to come.
I got a phone call recently from someone I had photographed about 20 years ago. They said, every day I look at the photos on my wall from all those years ago and they still warm my heart. In all honesty, when I look at photos I have made over the last 35 years as I walk into friends/clients homes, it warms my heart as well. It is such an incredible feeling to see people's lives through rich, black and white portraits, documenting all the subtle and not so subtle changes of time. Having adults come in for new photos when I have been photographing them since they were small children, is an experience I treasure.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you soon. In grace and gratitude. Katy, Marianne and Reece
